Ah, now that the May show frenzy is over (& was HUGELY enjoyable & successful!), I can breathe...slow down a bit, take deep breaths, rest up, enjoy my home.
Even tho summer has suddenly come upon us & temperatures have been tickling the sweaty underbelly of 100 degrees, it's still beautiful in the evenings. I live for about 6pm, when the sun is almost behind the high rocky hills to the west & the courtyard beckons. After an hour or so, the crickets are starting to tune up, Venus & a few other bright stars are starting to twinkle, the thrashers & towhees (who all nest under the eaves) are busily rushing back & forth, trying to stuff a few more beakfuls of bug into their voracious youngster's throats....and all is well in my world!
Many thanks to everyone who came to see me in Tucson, or Willcox, or Silver City, it was a blast, wasn't it? :D See you in Cloudcroft, NM for the July Jamboree!
