Yes, it's the end of April...it's been an absolutely pastoral spring, resplendent with desert wildflowers & lush, green mesquite trees laden with blossoms and quite the frenetic bird community!
Every time I walk outside, I wander...I linger...and the voice in my brain that reminds me I have studio work to do has risen to a strident shriek because....IT'S ALMOST MAY!! The busiest, most crazed month of my year, with two of my biggest shows sandwiched around a delightful local wine festival. You can check out links to the events on my "Show Schedule" page...come see me, if you're in the neighborhood! ;)
The annual Tucson, AZ Folk Festival is in it's 30th year and is always a fantastic weekend event! It's a free event, no paid gate, a solid 2 days of music & entertainment, food, arts/crafts and raffles in downtown Tucson. The venue is Presidio Park, in the shadow of the gorgeous old Pima County courthouse, a work of art in itself!
The headliners this year seem to be "family-oriented"...there's Ronstadt Generations, as in Linda Ronstadt...Tom Chapin, as in Harry Chapin. I'm looking forward to Ray Wylie Hubbard, Saturday night's headliner, I think he'll be great fun! This just names a few, there are many performers on 4 different stages, all weekend!
Come on downtown the weekend of May 2 & 3, you'll have a great time!
